At Woodlandwise Forest School, we collaborate with schools to bring the benefits of outdoor learning to life. Whether it’s a one-off workshop, a block of curriculum-linked sessions, or a long-term Forest School programme, we tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of each school community.

Our sessions support the development of confidence, resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills—all while deepening pupils' connection to nature. We can work on school grounds or in nearby woodland spaces, offering flexible, inclusive, and engaging experiences for pupils of all ages and abilities.

We also support the delivery of recognised outdoor learning awards such as the Scottish Junior Forester Award and the John Muir Award, helping young people gain a sense of achievement while developing environmental awareness and responsibility.

With experience working alongside teaching staff, support teams, and local authorities, we’re here to co-create programmes that align with wellbeing, ASN support, Curriculum for Excellence, and whole-school priorities.

Let’s work together to get children learning, growing, and thriving—naturally.

Our programme of Forest School is naturally child-led and the individuals in the group will determine the direction each session will take, but typically they will include: risk assessment, fire safety and fire-lighting techniques, campfire cooking, safe tool use, natural crafts, storytelling, tree climbing, rope work and hammock, plant and wild-life identification and games galore!
